在色彩上借鉴了敦煌壁画中如土红、石绿、青金石蓝等,鲜艳而沉稳,富有历史与艺术感;

The competition aims to respond to
the call for national cultural confidence
by bringing Dunhuang culture into
campuses, encouraging more young
people to focus on and understand
Dunhuang's heritage. By using
creativity to give voice to Dunhuang
culture, the event seeks to enhance
teenagers' artistic appreciation and
stimulate their innovative potential.
Let’s take a look at some of the
students’ remarkable works~
Here is a piece from Du Yaxu, a
student at Dehong Beijing, titled "Cute
Dunhuang Feitian." Through the use
of adorable and stylized Q-version
interpretations, she reimagines the
dynamic and mysterious figures of
the Feitian from Dunhuang murals,
while creating a rich atmosphere of
Dunhuang culture.
The design incorporates Dunhuang’s
teal green tones,with yellow and
pink, retaining traditional
elements from the murals, such as
cloud patterns and lotus motifs. With
a uniquely adorable Q-version style,
the artwork creates a fusion of
tradition and modernity, resulting
in pieces that are both mysterious
and charming.
From Liaocheng Yizhong Foreign
Language School, Zhang Ziheng
brings us the "Dunhuang Culture"
campus cultural and creative series,
inspired by the murals inside the
Mogao Caves in Dunhuang.
The color palette draws inspiration
from Dunhuang murals, featuring
hues like earthy red, malachite
green, and lapis lazuli blue—vivid
yet balanced, evoking a sense of
history and artistry. Fluid lines
are extracted and applied in
pattern design, making the motifs
lively and rhythmic. Classic elements
such as Flying Apsaras and lotus
flowers are reimagined and combined
to create unique Dunhuang-inspired
patterns.
From Beijing New Talent Academy,
Xu Yudong's work, "Three Hares
Sharing Ears Fidget Spinner."
The inspiration comes from the
classic Dunhuang mural "Three
Hares Sharing Ears," where the
ears of three hares form an
approximate equilateral triangle,
creating a dynamic image of the
hares running, chasing, and cycling
endlessly.

From Beijing Dehong School, a work
by student ZhouZe, 'A Glimpse of a
Thousand Years - Re-design of
Dunhuang Traditional Patterns.'
The ceiling patterns of the Mogao
Caves in Dunhuang are renowned
worldwide for their unique artistic
style and rich cultural connotations.
This design extracts classic motifs
from the Dunhuang ceiling patterns
and combines them with modern
design techniques to create a series
of cultural and creative products that
embody both national characteristics
and modern aesthetic appeal.
From Yantai Economic and
Technological Development Zone
Experimental Middle School, a work
by student Wang Yuxiao titled
"Dragon Child."
This product is designed as a
chibi-style figurine, inspired by the
Chinese dragon and Dunhuang
pattern design. Drawing from the
legend of the dragon’s nine offspring,
each with unique traits, the design
uses colorful pottery to create
cartoonish, chibi-style versions of
several dragon offspring, including
Pixiu, Panlong, and Suanni.

From Guangzhou Textile and Garment
Vocational School, a work by student
Cao Silin titled "Dunhuang Lotus",
inspired by Mogao Cave 112 in
Dunhuang.
The figure's pose is modeled after
the "Rebounding Pipa" posture. The
hairstyles of Dunhuang women
often feature buns or chignons,
adorned with accessories such as
gold, silver, jade, and emerald
ornaments, including bracelets,
earrings, and necklaces. These
elements reflect their social status
and aesthetic taste.
From Dehong Beijing, a work by
student Yu Mohan. titled "Dunhuang
Beauty", inspired by the unique
charm and mysterious aura of
women depicted in Dunhuang murals.
The design centers on the most
iconic motif from these murals—the
celestial maiden, or Feitian.
Building on this foundation, the
design introduces innovative
elements with meticulously detailed
facial expressions. It preserves
the essence and spirit of ancient
murals while incorporating modern
aesthetic sensibilities.
From Dehong Beijing School, a work
by student Ma Yanxi titled "Sacred
Melody: The Mystic Deer", inspired
by the story of the Nine-Colored
Deer. The design showcases the
deer's mystery and beauty through
an illustration style.
The image of the Nine-Colored Deer
is reimagined based on the prototype
in the Dunhuang murals, showcasing
From Dehong Shanghai, Tang Zimo's
work—The Pegasus Notebook, is
inspired by the Dunhuang auspicious
beast sketches studied in the
Enlightenment class. The "Winged
Horse" motif from the Mogao Caves
comes to life through collage, with
the image of the celestial horse
vividly depicted on the pages.
Opening the notebook, the Pegasus
appears lifelike, adding a touch of
vitality to the journal.
The competition entries showcase
participants' unique interpretations
and presentations of Dunhuang
culture from various angles and
with diverse creativity. Each piece
reflects the creators' hard work and
contributes to the inheritance and
development of Dunhuang culture in
its own unique way.

works that we cannot display
individually, but we would like to
take this opportunity to thank all
the students for their brilliant ideas,
